A one-on-one sound healing gives you the opportunity to focus on specific issues that you have, create an intention of healing and support this intention with a sound home practice.

 

What you can expect in a 1:1 Sound Healing

Prior to the session, a form is emailed to you to get a brief summary of your medical history and any issues you would like to focus on. This form, and our discussions, are then the basis for the plan of the session. As an Integral Sound Healing Practitioner, my role is to help you to relax, release, reform with the use of sound. 

The form, our conversation and an energy assessment are used to guide each session, intuition and body responses are also noted. During the session, you will be lying on the massage table (or on the floor if that is more comfortable) and be asked to notice and actively listen to the sounds that you hear during the session.

During the session I will use a combination of tuning forks (small metal sticks), a drum, rain drum, quartz bowls, Tibetan bowls, harmony ball, egg shaker, 7 quartz crystal, bowls, gongs, koshi chimes, and my voice.

Often you will be invited to actively participate in the session by humming or sounding considering your level of comfort in doing so. These instruments are used in a variety of ways to support your healing intention which you create at the beginning of the session.

After a Session

After a session it is good to have some free time planned where you can simply ‘be’, journal or go for a gentle walk. 

It is important to drink plenty of water and a bath with Epsom salts can also help the body in the process of release. Alternatively a bath with 2 cups of apple cider vinegar will help the body's nervous system and support the release of toxins released during the session.

Many people feel the benefits of the sound session for a couple of days, and sometime continue to receive insights around their intention over that time.

Most people feel the benefit of sound healing after one session. Booking in a regular sound healing session (e.g monthly, quarterly) is a great way to self care and encourage balance and calm within.

 

What’s involved

Each sound healing session is 60 minutes and involves:

  • Discussion – creating an intention for the session (E.g: my mind is clear and calm);

  • Lying on massage table, fully clothed with shoes off;

  • Sound healing instruments being played around you and above the body, if appropriate;

  • Silence;

  • Joint reflection on sound healing;

  • Home sound practice explained and demonstrated.
