Zero Point Yoga - Sat Nov 18

What is Chanting?

When we chant together, we breathe together and this reminds us that we are all connected.

Chanting

During the session, Charlotte will play the harmonium and chant mostly call and response chants. She often chants with Tara Lynch, where Charlotte is the leader on the harmonium and Tara follows with the response to help the group know when it’s their turn!

It is not about singing in tune, but rather singing from your heart. Feel moved and drop into stillness with sound. Absolutely NO experience needed.

"Scientific studies have found that chanting can decrease stress, anxiety and depressive symptoms, as well as increase positive mood, feelings of relaxation and focused attention," Emma Perry says.

Many thanks for the wonderful experience and the chanting. I loved it all. Thankyou, it was a very energizing and delightful experience for me.

Chant with Tara and Charlotte - New Hall, September 2022

“I find chanting to be the easiest way to meditate. The music and words give me something to focus on. After many years of practising, I can actually say that I love my voice; and that has been a journey!”
